In an exclusive UK-wide cinema tour, Human Appeal, in partnership with Red Face Films, will be hosting viewings of the fantastically insightful documentary, The Balance - The Rise of the Islamic Entertainment Industry, from the 5th August for an unmissable early bird price of just £7!

The Balance sheds light on the highs and lows of the entertainment industry, with all the glitz and glam we see, but also the dark and mysterious corners which have a more concerning impact on people.

The film is directed by award-winning director Abrar Hussain from Red Face Films. His previous work has included the awe-inspiring, One Day in the Haram, and the majestic One Night in Al Aqsa, bringing exclusive access and never-before seen footage from two of the most sacred Muslim institutions. The Balance is set to be equally as insightful, spiritual and thought-provoking. The Guardian Newspaper described The Balance as “a whistle stop tour through Islamic music, film, social media, and comedy”, and through it all the film assesses how this impacts our faith as Muslims.

Full of quotable soundbites, and gems of inspirational knowledge, The Balance is a visual experience unlike anything previously witnessed in the Islamic space.

Help save lives in Syria

Syria Emergency Medical Appeal

Syria has experienced over 11 years of devastating war, which has led to the world’s largest refugee crisis. Major infrastructure has been destroyed including communication lines, water sources, schools and hospitals. Over 13.4 million people are in desperate need of humanitarian assistance, lacking access to healthcare and medical supplies. Through our Syria Medical Project, we will be supplying 50 hospitals with essential medical equipment, medication and supplies. Our medical containers will be distributed among healthcare facilities, and benefiting 500,000 vulnerable Syrians. We will also be providing training to 30 healthcare professionals around inclusion, to help understand barriers women face in accessing healthcare, to do more to tackle these barriers so they receive the quality of service they need. Hospitals will be provided with the particular medical items they require based on their needs, location and capacity.

Our Syria Medical Project will help ensure hundreds of thousands of vulnerable Syrians have access to the vital healthcare they need, helping to save lives.
