Legacy Programme 1.1

The Legacy Programme, Pakistan

“The dearest of people to Allah, may He be exalted, is the one who does most benefit to people, and the dearest of deeds to Allah, may He be exalted, is joy that you bring to a Muslim, or relieving him of distress, or paying off debt for him, or dispelling his hunger.” (Al Tabaraani)

More than 30% of families in Tharparkar don’t have access to clean water, without which isn’t impossible to stay healthy, let alone make a living. Our Legacy Programme provides a whole community in drought-hit Tharparkar with a solar-powered water well and agricultural training adapted to their local climate.

£20 per month or £240 annually (1 share) – Leave a legacy, transform an entire village in Tharparkar.

Your donation will help change the future for a village suffering from years of water scarcity by providing sustainable, clean water and innovative farming tools and training to a whole community, empowering them to thrive, even through periods of drought.

What will your legacy be?

When drought hits, especially cyclically like in Tharparkar, not only do people not have clean water to drink but they can’t grow food, feed their cattle, stay healthy, or have produce to sell.

You’ll reap multiplied rewards, and every time a family is able to grow a plant, feed an animal, or quench their thirst, that will be your blessed legacy.

What will the transformed village look like?

The Legacy Programme will provide a village with a solar-powered pump, providing clean water to 100 families, as well as their livestock, reducing community risk of waterborne diseases and improving health.

We’ll also provide drought-resistant farming training, and provide seeds and tools to help farmers to recover from drought, improving the long-term food security of all 100 families – that’s 900 people in total.

Change starts here
