Sponsor a village, transform a community

Those who spend their wealth [in Allah 's way] by night and by day, secretly and publicly - they will have their reward with their Lord. And no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve. (Quran 2:274)

Cyclical drought in Tharparkar has left more than 30% of families without access to clean water, making it impossible to stay healthy, let alone make a living. Our transformative project provides clean water, livelihoods, safety, and electricity to a whole community in drought-hit Tharparkar.

£3,500 – Transform the lives, livelihoods and security of an entire village in Tharparkar (1 share of 10)

£35,000 – Transform an entire village with solar powered lights, water pump, toilets, and farming support.

Transform an entire village suffering from years of water scarcity by bringing a sustainable, clean water source, innovative farming tools and training, as well as livestock, lighting and hygiene facilities to a whole community, providing all the tools they need to thrive, even through periods of drought.

Revive jobs, livestock, water, and life in a drought-hit community

When drought hits, especially cyclically like in Tharparkar, it doesn’t just mean people don’t have clean water to drink, it devastates the entire community. Without water, families can’t grow food, feed their livestock, stay clean, or have produce to sell. Climate change has devastated the main livelihood in Tharparkar – farming. Without your support, residents will always be stuck trying to overcome the latest drought.

A huge 98% of families don’t have access to toilets or information about basic hygiene practices, a critical need for any community to survive, even before the spread of COVID-19.

Help us to change this and reap the endless blessings

When you donate £3,500, you’ll provide a village of 350 people with access to a truly life-changing project. You can even get together with your friends and family to donate together!

Every time a family is able to grow a plant, feed an animal, or travel in safety, that will be your blessed legacy.

What will the transformed village look like?

With the help of your donation, the village that you sponsor will have a solar-powered water pump and a water supply system that will be able to provide clean water, even during droughts. You’ll also provide 6 toilets as well as 15 solar-powered street lights in each village so that residents can have hygienic toilets and the most vulnerable won’t be at risk when they are outside at night.

In each village, we’ll provide hygiene training to help prevent the spread of disease and infections. 200 farming families will receive training on climate-smart agriculture, drought-resistant farming techniques, as well as seeds, tools and training to help them to grow crops, even during drought.

We’ll deworm and vaccinate all the village livestock, and provide livestock management training to 50 key farmers.

We’ll also provide 50 vulnerable families – those with widows, orphans, and disabled people – with a pair of goats so that they can produce and sell milk in order to support their families.

We’ll also construct two classrooms in one of the villages we’re working in, supporting 70 students.

Since launching this project four years ago, we’ve transformed 66 villages in Tharparkar. We want to raise enough funds to transform six more villages – helping a total of 2,100 people - returning their access to clean water, livelihoods, and good sanitation, helping them to earn livings and be resilient to climate change.

Our work in Pakistan

We’ve been changing lives in Pakistan for 17 years, and we’ve been transforming villages since 2019.

Last year, we helped a total of 3,843,279 people, including 1,656,490 people in Pakistan through our flood response, as well as projects that provided sustainable clean water, livelihood training, education, solar-powered electricity, and food security. In 2022 alone, we helped a total of 1.1 million people through our safe water and sanitation projects.

Change starts here

Support this integrated project, and you’ll help to lift entire communities out of poverty for good by giving them the tools to overcome all of the different obstacles that they face – water scarcity, compromised hygiene facilities, and decimated farming and livestock.
