February’s powerful earthquakes devastated homes, schools, and hospitals in Syria, and affected a staggering 3.7 million Syrian children. Over 50,000 people were killed, including thousands of children. On top of the 6.8 million people already displaced, 86,000 more lost their homes in the earthquake, more than half of them were children.

This Ramadan, be a mercy to a family spending Ramadan without a home, going hungry, and unable to afford medical care. All of our Ramadan projects are Zakat-applicable, and you can calculate what you owe with our easy-to-use Zakat calculator.

The people of Shaam (Greater Syria) were particularly dear to the Prophet Muhammad’s (saw) heart. Yet today, these lands are suffering due to conflict, displacement and impoverishment.

It is our responsibility and our honour to support ‘our Shaam’. From praying to raising awareness to giving charity, there is so much you can do to help tonight. Not only will you be providing vital relief and saving lives, you will also be drawing closer to the Prophet (saw) by loving and serving the people whom he loved the most this Ramadan.

Why give through Human Appeal?

Due to our strong presence in northwest Syria, we were on the ground long before the first earthquake struck, supporting displaced Syrians devastated by war. When the first earthquake hit, our teams were delivering vital winter aid, while our Al Imaan Hospital, the only hospital of its kind in Idlib, was providing lifesaving healthcare.

We are still on the ground today, helping Syrians to recover by providing hot meals, blankets and emergency medical care. We are also helping Syrians to rebuild their lives. We have just rehomed 1,000 Syrian families in our new-build long-term accommodation in our new Al Zahoor Village, freeing up emergency shelters for the newly displaced. We are already building town 3 Al Yaseen to provide even more permanent housing for more Syrian families.

Our Al Imaan Hospital, the only hospital of its kind in Idlib, has also continued providing free lifesaving healthcare to the most vulnerable families in northwest Syria. Despite losing members of our team and sustaining damage in the first earthquake, we quickly reopened our hospital and continued to safely deliver babies and administer lifesaving healthcare to children, women and the injured, free of charge

Human Appeal has been changing lives through our projects in Syria since 2013. Last year, we helped 1,214,180 people in Syria.

Our projects are run by local staff, our hospital is manned by local doctors and nurses, all working together to improve the lives of the most vulnerable, and the future of their country. When you entrust your charity to us, it’s supported by over 30 years’ experience, and specialists in protection, child safety, and emergency response.

If you want to change lives in Syria, with meaningful, impactful projects run by capable, caring hands, give your charity through Human Appeal.
