Give mercy now

Young Pakistani boy

This Ramadan, entrust your mercy to Human Appeal, and we’ll provide nourishing iftars, safe shelter, clean water sources, lifesaving hospitals and clinics, and orphan support. Nobody should feel abandoned and alone in the most blessed month. Be a mercy to the most vulnerable people, and reap the multiplied blessings of the holy month.

Be a mercy in this world

‘And We have not sent you, O Muhammad, except as a mercy to the worlds.’ (Source - Quran 21:107)

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was the epitome of mercy, instructing us to show compassion to one another ‘He who does not show mercy to others, will not be shown mercy.’

Now, more than ever, the world needs us to follow his sunnah of mercy. As we enter the blessed month of Ramadan, around the world, the Ummah faces intensifying conflicts, urgent climate crises, devastating disasters, disease outbreaks and soaring inflation.

Communities around the world need our mercy now. We must not delay in helping those who are being plunged deeper into poverty, and oppression. Nobody should feel abandoned and alone in the most blessed month. Make this Ramadan a time of mercy to those in the Ummah facing conflict, hunger, and displacement.

We give with compassion because it is the heart of our religion, but those who show mercy are also promised Allah’s mercy.

Be a mercy to the most vulnerable people, and reap the multiplied blessings of the month of mercy.

Support the Ummah

An estimated 345 million people don’t know where their next meal will come from – devastatingly, that’s twice as many people as last year. More than 117 million people will be forced to flee their homes by the end of this year according to UNHCR. All over the globe, families are being forced to abandon their homes just to survive amid violence and climate disasters. They are going hungry. They are without safe shelter. They are out of school. They are struggling to afford the healthcare that would save their lives.

This Ramadan, be the mercy they need. Help those in the Ummah who are abandoned and forgotten, trying to survive, and reap the multiplied blessings of giving in Ramadan.

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, “Whoever draws nearer (to Allah) by performing any of the (optional) good deeds in (this month) shall receive the same reward as performing an obligatory deed at any other time,” (Ibn Khyzaymah)

The power of your mercy

Last year alone, thanks to generous supporters like you, we helped 3,843,270 people in 21 countries, including 1,656,490 people in Pakistan, 1, 214,180 people in Syria and over 20,000 people here in the UK. Today, faced with the ongoing devastation of conflicts in Palestine, Yemen and Somalia, a worsening crisis in Syria and Pakistan, the ongoing war in Ukraine, and amidst the catastrophic effects of coronavirus, extreme poverty, climate change, and the rising cost of living in the UK, we remain steadfast in our mission to make a difference. Our Human Appeal family, including all our staff, volunteers, partners, suppliers, and supporters like you are custodians of the legacy of our founders.

We’ve been running Ramadan projects for over 30 years. That means that we have an incredible amount of expertise, experience, and dedication under our belt. We’ve streamlined our projects – our local staff are skilled and knowledgeable, and they’re supported by three decades of experience. Together, we’ve designed impactful projects that truly transform lives.

We know that your donations are hard-earned and a sign of trust and faith in us. We’re honoured to accept this sign of Amanah from you, and we’re working day and night to help the most vulnerable people, and to build a more caring world.

This Ramadan, mercy will make all the difference.

“The merciful will be shown mercy by the Most Merciful. Be merciful to those on the earth and the One in the heavens will have mercy upon you.”
